Masqueerade Ball

LYRIC's annual Masqueerade Ball is an event not to be missed. With a costume contest, hot beats, and fabulous prizes, this dance is a great way for youth to celebrate Halloween. The dance is generally held the weekend before Halloween, so check the Upcoming Events page for the date!

 

 

 

 

Unchained Conference and Young Women's Health Fair

This conference is a hot opportunity for queer youth and allies of all backgrounds to connect with their peers in an inclusive and safe space, to build relationships with other youth, and to gain skills/tools to effect positive change in oneself and one’s community. This conference seeks to prioritize youth of color by developing content that reflects the experiences of their communities.

The Young Women's Health Fair is grounded in the belief that young queer women should have equal access to information about our sexuality and bodies as our heterosexual peers.

Not only do we intend to provide access to issues so rarely discussed in mainstream health education, but we also intend this year’s conference to be a platform of comfort and empowerment where we can all gain access to support from one another as well as from resources within our communities.

 

Pride Events

Of course, LYRIC is hopping during San Francisco Pride. The month of June is always filled with activities such as our annual Pride Dance and Youth Picnic. Plus, LYRIC always makes an appearance at the San Francisco's Trans and Dyke Marches to distribute safer sex packets and get the word out about LYRIC's programs.
